Hiring Family Entertainment Operations Manager

We are looking for a manager for a large locally-owned and operated Harriman-Woodbury, NY indoor playground and party center. This is a fast-paced, physically demanding, high energy environment, so we are looking for candidates who are positive, outgoing, highly energetic, organized, personable, and who have great customer service skills.

Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

Staffing duties, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, disciplining, and terminating.
Cash handling duties, including preparation of tills, change fund maintenance, and preparation of deposits.
Ensuring that cashier personnel adhere to correct cash handling procedures and sell effectively.
Strong leadership skills and work ethic are needed to guide our young staff.
Ensuring that party hostesses and personal provide fun and entertaining services to our guests.
Ensuring that play area personnel monitor and supervise efficiently and professionally.
Ensuring that maintenance and operations records are kept as per the policies in place.
Ensuring that all staff are strictly adhering to company policies and providing outstanding customer service.
Corresponding with and providing regular reports to management office personnel.
Expanding the marketing and promotional presence of The Elks Place.
Maintaining the effective operational feasibility of The Elks Place.
Maintaining the highest standard of facility appearance.

While performing the duties of this position, the team member will regularly be required to:

Work flexible hours and days
Work nights, weekends, and holidays are required.
Work in noisy, fast-paced environment with distracting conditions.
Move about the facility and stand for long periods of time.
Applicants should be comfortable working with young children.
Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Knowledge of computers a must.

Job Requirements:

Strong leadership skills and work ethic are needed to guide our young staff.
Great customer service skills are needed as our clientele are diverse and demanding. We want someone who will look to maximize the guest’s experience at our facility while maintaining top performance from our staff and attractions.
Ensure a well-maintained, safe, secure, and sanitary environment for all guests and staff.
Hiring preference is toward solid hands-on operational experience as this is a hands-on position working shoulder-to-shoulder with staff members and guests.
Must be able to safely lift/push/pull heavy objects on an ongoing basis.
Adhere to The Elks Place’s dress code guidelines.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
First aid and CPR certification (or be prepared to obtain this within a timely manner of being hired).
A drug test and background check is required prior to employment.
You must have a reliable transportation method to insure your ability to get back and forth to work.
Provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States.

Hiring Multiple Hourly Positions

We are looking for multiple hourly positions for a locally owned and operated large Harriman-Woodbury, NY indoor playground and party center. Prior experience in family entertainment centers, bowling alleys, amusement parks, and/or miniature gold is preferred but not required. These positions are:

Cashier
Play Area Attendants
Party Hosts
Kitchen Attendants (Must be at least 18 years of age)
Costume Characters
